Writing Skills Tutoring Services

Tutoring is an integral part of a demanding college schedule. It is by definition a one-to-one or small group activity where a person who is knowledgeable and has expertise in a specific discipline provides clarification to one or more who do not. Often students feel less threatened when seeking help from a qualified tutor as opposed to seeking help from a faculty member. A tutoring program that supports students with a wide variety of skills and concerns can quickly become the foundation of a successful academic program.

All tutors are trained to provide services for traditional as well as non-traditional students. Tutoring services are FREE to all CSUEB students and both graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to utilize the available services. Funding is provided from the University Union Fees.

Math tutoring is not currently available on the Concord Campus, however, both math and writing tutoring services are available on the Hayward campus in the Student Center for Academic Achievement.

The Concord Campus Tutoring Center is located on the 1st Floor of the Library.
