Officer Biographies:
Syeda “ Mansoora” Shah-Zaeem, President
I am in the Master’s Program for Public Administration at the Concord Campus. This is my second year as C3 President. I am also interning at Senator Tom Torlakson’s office in Concord. I work for the family business in Pittsburg. I came to the US when I was five years old and my hometown is Pittsburg, Ca.
I graduated from Mt Diablo High School in Concord, Ca, then from Heald Business College in Concord, Ca, then from LMC in Pittsburg and finally from CSUEB Concord Campus with a BA in Liberal Arts. Over the years I have worked in both the public and private sectors. This has given me very indepth view of the world. I have also traveled extensively through work and family. I am also a mother and I enjoy the challenges that brings. I understand the students who attend the Concord Campus, because I am like them as well. Feel free to stop by the C3 office and let me know how I can help you.
Krista M. Kohlberg, Vice President
kmkohlberg@yahoo.com
Currently a Cal State East Bay graduate student pursuing an MS in Kinesiology with an option in Exercise Physiology. Krista graduated with honors from CSUEB in the Spring of 2005 with a BA in Liberal Studies and a minor in Political Science. She went on to complete one year of a Juris Doctorate program at Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco prior to changing her career focus and returning to pursue a Master’s at CSUEB. Krista’s commitment to the Concord campus, its student population, faculty, and staff began in the Spring of 2003 and has consistently been demonstrated by her pro-Concord campus activities. She was the founding president of the Concord Campus Council (C3), was an active participant on the Concord Campus AdHoc Committee which helped plan activities for the campus, was a student representative and later an alumni representative on the Concord Campus Strategic Planning Committee, and was the founding Vice President and current President of the Concord Campus Chapter of the CSUEB Alumni Association which helps to bring alumni, community leaders, and the University together. Krista’s vast experience, history with the campus, and ongoing interest in the growth and development of the Concord campus makes her an ideal Vice President for the Concord Campus Council (C3). Feel free to contact her via e-mail and help me to welcome her to the Board of C3 and the Concord campus community.
Parwana Shokuri-Aziz - Treasurer

Asia-Renee Johnson - Officer
ajohnson64@horizon.csueastbay.edu
My name is Asia-Renee Johnson, I am one of six siblings, three of which have predeceased me. I am from a family of hard working-class Americans who migrated from Chicago (where I was raised until high school) and Mississippi.
Although I am the only one with a college education, my brothers are/were highly skilled military veterans. My eldest sister has been in the medical field since 1974 and has also worked at Chino State Penitentiary part-time for the past twenty years. I recently lost my disabled sister(August)to Sickle Cell Anemia Disease after decades of battling the disease. She was given a maximum age of 25 years to live and reached her 50th birthday in June of this year before her passing. She made history and that was one of true desires.
I have a background primarily in public sector working for agencies such as University of California, Office of the President, The Social Security Administration, Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) and the County of Alameda. I received my undergraduate degree at Holy Names University in Sociology/Psychology (Human Services), I also attended JFK School of Law in the early nineties and left after two years to become a Professional Certified Paralegal (UCB). I attend CSUEB-Concord Campus working toward my Masters Degree in Public Administration. I absolutely love this campus, its professors and administrators!
I have 21 years in Human Resources and 13 years in the legal field, both of which I love.
My goal upon graduation is to work with Juvenile Offenders, Victims of Crime (or their survivors) and to provide mediation services (restitution, communication, etc.) between the two. Part-time I would like to pursuit my childhood dream of teaching English Literature/History (at the Junior College level). I love attending church and my hobbies are reading, traveling, playing board games and watching old classic films. Last but not least, I am a Stage IV terminal cancer survivor coming up on my fourth year of being cancer free.
Thanks for taking the time to read my bio to get acquainted. See you in the fall.
Asia-Renee Johnson, BA,CLA,CM
Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. And today? Today is a gift, that's why we call it the present!
Lada Velichkov - Officer
I have a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Psychology and a minor in English from California State University East Bay. I am currently in the Masters of Public Administration program at California State University East Bay.
