Transfer Admissions
Guarantee (TAG)
The Transfer Admissions Program is intended
for (1) first-time freshmen who wish to start their baccalaureate degree
at a community college or (2) current community college students, who,
after meeting transfer requirements wish to enroll at Cal State East Bay.
Benefits include:
• guaranteed admission
• $55 CSU application fee waived and pre-admission advising
• a CSUEB photo ID which, in turn, permits access to CSUEB facilities
and activities.
Students must apply to the program one year prior to their transfer term
at a participating community college and work with counselors to complete
the transfer requirements. Applications for the TAG Program are available
at participating community colleges.
Cross Registration
Cross registration provides community college students with the opportunity to take courses at CSUEB without paying additional fees for CSUEB courses. To be eligible, students must have completed a minimum of 20 semester units at their home (community college) campus (and no more than 72 semester units) with a GPA of 2.0 or better, and be enrolled in sufficient units to maintain full-time status with at least 6 units at their home campus. Cross registration forms are available at the community colleges and at the Concord Campus. Call (925) 602-6700 for details.
Open University
The Open University Program
permits you to take regular classes, on a space-available basis, without
going through the formal admissions process.
First, select
the course(s) you are interested in. The CSUEB Class Schedule provides
a list of courses being offered for the quarter. Course descriptions and/or
prerequisite information can be found in the University Catalog. Catalogs
are available for purchase at the Concord Café in the Campus Union.
Second, obtain
an Open University form at the Concord Campus Student Information Lobby
the first day of the new term.
Third, complete
the form, including your choice(s) of grading option: either a letter
grade, cr/nc or audit.
Finally, submit
the form at the Concord Campus Student Information Lobby during the Open
University Enrollment period published in the class schedule. Pay your
fees by cash or check. No credit cards or debit cards are accepted at
the lobby.
